Every year in July, Oropesa del Mar hosts its International Puppet Festival. Lasting one week, this event, featuring the work of national and international puppet companies, delights the littlest members of the family.

The performances represent a wide array of different puppetry techniques, such as hand puppets, esperpento satire, shadow puppets, silhouette puppets, marottes, pull string puppets and even recycled objects that are brought to life.
