Oropesa del Mar offers12 km of coastline with 7 beaches that stand out mainly for their diversity and the purity of their waters – open beaches of fine, golden sand, secluded family beaches, accessible little coves and wild beaches that combine natural areas of sand and rock.
Accessibility, Quality and the Environment on our Beaches
So that everyone can enjoy our beaches, Oropesa del Mar has three Accessible Beaches (Les Amplaries, Morro de Gos and La Concha) where people with reduced mobility can access the shore with ease and safely enjoy the water. Together with Platgetes de Bellver, these three beaches hold a Blue Flag, the certification system for environmental quality developed by the FEEE (the Foundation for Environmental Education in Europe).
Each of them is equipped with reserved parking spaces, ramps and special pathways for wheelchairs, areas with sunshades, adapted changing rooms, showers and toilets, amphibious chairs and crutches, and support staff. These facilities are available between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. from 1 July to 30 September.
Since 2007, all the beaches have qualified for the ISO 14001 standard and the regional Qualitur Q classification, with La Concha beach also holding the Spanish Ministry of Tourism's Q for Quality and the label of the Integral Tourism Quality System in Destination SICTED in La Concha beach and Morro de Gos beach.
